Advance/Retard for Stock Cams

Wondering if there's any ponies hidden with the stock cams. Will advancing/retarding the intake and/or exhaust cam yield more power without sacrificing the awesome SR20DE power curve? Assume regular bolt-ons like headers, catback, intake, etc.
I may be going for a fully reworked head in the future but for the time being if I can unlock some power with the stock cam setup then I'd love to know.
GSpec has a pair of +/- 10 degree adjustable cam gears for $100. If there's more power to be had with the stock cams via adjustment then its a pretty good price.

giden33w dont buy those they are a waist of money your better off buying cams or dropping a vvl head on your sr20de block but on your distributor timing you can advance it and get faster accceleration but less top speed its a win and a loss just depends what you want most but advance your timing to 17* deg. or higher (note this will consume more gas.

I planned on running 17-19* or ignition advance. Not getting more power out of the stock cams doesn't surprise me too much though. Japanese motors seem to be drastically better optimized from the factory then comparable US motors.
My build plan is slowly turning towards a dual stage nitrous setup however. Therefor ignition advance won't be my friend. I'm glad to see many cam options with nice exhaust duration suitable for nitrous powered SR's.
Thanks for the advice. I'll put the money towards a nice set of nitrous cams (or just an exhaust cam for the spray).
