15" N15 oem mags on N14?

Hey all - longtime lurker, second-time poster.
I did a whole bunch of searching, and I just couldn't find an answer, so I'm gonna throw this into a thread in case someone else needs to find the info without going through 500 pages of results...that's just too many threads to read.
I've had an N15 GTi 3-door with a mildly warmed-up SR18DE for a couple of years now, and it's been an awesome little car.
However, all good things come to an end, and I'm moving on to an N14 3-door with an SR20VE, slightly lowered adjustable suspension, slotted and vented brakes, lightened flywheel, heavy-duty clutch, de-catted exhaust, CAI, and a much lower mileage. It's a snappy little car in good condition, and looks stock on the outside. However the stock 14" mags bug me. They look like rollerskate wheels, they're small with fat balloon tyres.
So what I'm thinking of is shifting over the rather tidy oem 15" mags off my N15 over to the N14, and I'm just curious before I begin, to know if anybody here has done this in the past. Overall wheel profile including tyres is very comparable (185R14x65 vs 195R15x60), but I'm very curious to know if anyone knows if the positive offset between the two different rims is the same, or what the delta is.
Anyone have any thoughts? Would pics of the said wheels/cars assist? :-)

yeah it works fine. people in the states do this a lot. I have done it myself. The lug pattern is 4x100 on both cars/rims right?

if you want you can run 205/50/15 tires and that looks pretty good imo.

Yep, both 4x100. The only real issue is the inset, so if you've done this and had no clearance issues, then that's awesome to know - thanks for the info. Good call on the 50 profile tyres too :-)

That seems like a members-only forum. Could you copy and paste or spare a quick summary?
I won't actually get the chance to switch the wheels over for a couple of weeks yet, so feel free to share some info.

Damn straight!
The pic was also very informative - that GTi-R looks about 20-30mm higher than my GTi, and looks like it's running on the 205/50 you recommended above. I've got some new 195/60 rubber to make my way through before I look at new grip, so I'll find out soon if I have some profile issues. I'll post some pics next weekend :-)
