EGR Questions for a b14

Hi all, I put my pacesetter header on last night. I had 2 problems. The first is that the tube that comes off the header for the egr doesn't line up with the tube at all. it is angled down in stead of up. What do i need to do to get rid of the egr system. so far i know:

1. remove equipment
2. plug holes in header and intake
3. plug vacuum line
4. add a resister somewhere.

Could someone help me with 2 + 4. What can i use to plug that hole in the header. and also what size resister do i need to put on the egr temp sensor? thanks guys

If you need it, I got a plug for the header. I can make you a plate for the intake. Hotshot sells the plugs for $10.

The resistor? Got me on that one. Take the check engine bulb out of the dash. That's what I did

Check engine light? We don't need no stinking check engine light. I have an engine in there. I can see it

Cheers,
Charlie

hehe... i need it tonight, so thanks anyway for the plugs... *** find an 'alternate method'. The only problem with ignoring the check engine light, if i understand correctly, is that the engine will be operating in cold start mode.

Running without EGR will cause the check engine light to come on after about 30 minutes of highway driving. It'll will run just fine without the EGR. You'll have to reset the ECU to kill the light. Once it comes on, it won't go off.

On my 94 hardbody, I would just floor it when the light came on and the light would clear. OBDI, those were the days

I've got JWT Turbo ECU with the EGR resistor. I could pull the cover and get you the colors off the resistor. Somebody here should have the info ***.

Cheers
Charlie

Thanks, i figured out what to do with the AIV hole. Take the reducer that the O2 screwed into off the old manifold. Put that in the AIV hole, then get an O2 plug. Works like a champ. And if i remember correctly, there is a certain size resister that i can hookup to the EGT temp plug that will fool the computer into thinking the exaust gas is hot. too bad no one that knows what ohm resister to use is posting
