Wanted: Someone with a little freetime who would be willing to do a little updating to the list. I have a bunch of new info but just havn't had the time to put it all in. Anyone intrested?
I've been compiling a list of all the different cam grinds I've wandered across, with part numbers and prices if I could find them for sale (not that that is a a garuntee you can actually buy them, lol). Some of this I got from the manufacturers' websites, a couple from bugging places that sell 'em, and a couple from various other sources. I know there are other grinds out there, but if they're not listed I havn't had any luck on getting specs. If you spot an error (or twenty) or know of others, post it up and I'll add it to the list. I know I'm missing some of the stock grinds.
I talked to comp cams today they have discontinued there comp/zex cams i guess they did real well in some test but wasnt enough demand. You will get lucky if you can find a pair they made a wide range and are letting them go dirt cheap call some big distributors we got one for my buddies car today last one left 265 dollars for the pair shipped sweet deal we will see how they work
well i think the more i search and read the more confused i get. With all this cam talk please point me in a direction of where i can get a n/a cam with stock valvetrain to give me a nice mid/to upper power increase. I would say go with JWT S3 or S4 cam... but since you don't know me, guess my opinion doesn't really matter

Nah i was planning on auto x but i like my back road bashing. And my comment was made in regards to i didnt want to spend my hard earned cash on something because of an ipinion u had i wanted to hear from people who use this product and you know how most say that cam A is better then cam B but they have never even changed ther own oil. Thats what i meant. To all who have the knowledge i listen. But you all know as well as i do there is a lot of info to sift through to get to the facts. And thank you guys for the advice. Any other cams compare in performance to the s3 but at a diffrent price point?
People have had success with Tomei cams, I think the 256°, it gives pretty much the same gains as the S3. They may be cheaper than JWT, but not by much.
I had JWT S3s in my old car and it felt like a bat out of hell at top end but didn't feel like it lost anything at all, just a very nice gain above 4000. I would recommed the S3s.

what i want to know is when they start measuring that duration, when the cam lift is .001 and not really doing anything or at .050 when the valve is moving. the second offers a more usable duration spec and i hope they measure in a manner similar to that, does anybody know for sure, or has anyone put their cam on v-blocks with a dial indicator
