Maybe I'll revive this for a couple questions....

I see that the HKS Stage 2 and 3 cams have the same specs, save for the small Stage 2 intake. Seems like there would be a difference??

Have any of you seen results or used reground cams on an SR20? How did they work? I'm considering it as I have contact with a grinder here in the PNW.

Can anyone tell me the std lifts and duration for the RWD S14 SR20DE?

Im having REAL trouble finding them. Ive found S13 SR20DE specs but not the S14 with VVT

I need to know soon. I just want to know if its gonna be worth using the DE inlet cam (afaik the exh are the same between DE and DET) in my DET build. And if so should I use the DE springs too???

Thanks.

S14 SR20DE (not DET):

Intake: 248 deg, 10mm, lobe center 130 deg.

Exhaust: 240 deg, 9.20mm, lobe center 113 deg.

Exhaust S14DE/S14DET are the same.
Intake from DET is 240 deg, 9.20mm, 126 deg lobe center.

De to DE?

Anyway, it is a bit more radical (+9% lift) so I suppose you can use it for some gains. Altough it is a turbo engine I do notthink 8 more degrees of duration would screw up anything.

I do not think you need any springs since the same 8 more degrees of duration should smooth out the ramp of the cam. Just in case though, if you could find DE inlet valve springs you would be safer.

I have C1 cams, tit valve springs and retainers. I am wanting to put these in because I've had them for a while.I am running a F-Max kit w/ T3T4. My compression is 8.5/1. I am gonna put my low port head on my det block. I was wondering if anyone knows if these retainers will work w/ the 5J sodium filled exh valves. I hope someone can give me an answer.
