5th gear resolved
As in previous posts motor mounts do nothing to prevent 5th gear popout. I own JWT solid motor mounts and they do noting for that. I work on se-r's and nx2000's daily. In oder to fix the 5th gear pop out all you need to do is take the tranny out and flip 5th gear over. In the tranny only half of the teeth on that gear make contact. What happens is the teeth on the gear go bad causing 5th gear pop out. So take out the tranny and flip the gear now you have a practically new gear, and no need for a new tanny or a new 5th gear.OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE IS 0, ALL IT COST YOU WAS YOUR HARD WORK AND ELBOW GREASE. If anyone needs tech support feel free to email me. Also for all you new racers out there that are new to the SR20DE scene remember not to do BURN OUTS till you weld your tranny. Because wheel hop from the burnout causes the tranny to crack where the drivers side CV shaft goes into the tranny.
