Idle adjustment screw O-ring not sealing properly. Assistance?
Well, my '96 G20 makes very quiet hissing from the idle adjustment screw. I am able to move the screw around and getting it to stop barely if it's at the right angle. But as soon as I let go it starts to hiss again.
The only reason I found this was because I have a slight idle problem when coming to a stop (car likes to raise the rpm's up to around 1500-2000 rpm's for a few seconds then sets back down to around 850) and my acceleration at low RPM's is pretty much crap!
I am assuming this is messing with the IAA/AAC since it is allowing for the air to pass through, which could also lead to poor driveability and performance.
I have removed the screw completely and do not notice any issues with the screw threads or the O-ring, but it will not seal up when set at the correct idle speed.
Is this a replaceable part? Any ideas if this is the cause of my driveability issue.
