ok , i have a 96 200sx ser auto. well i went to get in it the other day, and it wont come out of park. the button wont push in. so i took the to screws out of the gear shift and and moved it around and it finally went into gear.well i put the screws back in and put it in park agian and it did the same thing.
Does anyone know what it might be causing it to do this?
I don't know what you took apart, but a lot of times a bad brake light switch can cause this. The brake light switch is also used to control the shifter lockout.
