Fuel Pump Sucks Air. Why? Help...

I had my fuel pump replaced last year, if i'm at a 1/4 tank & making a long right turn, the car bogs, (fuel starvation) all the fuel goes to one side of the tank & the pump sucks air! Shouldn't the pump hold fuel in it? This sucks, I always have to keep it over a 1/4 tank, it's been like this ever since it was replaced. It's a stock pump, any ideas?

They didn't get it sitting into the stock bracket in the bottom of the tank or they bent the bracket up to high removing the old one..... that would keep it up to high in the tank and cause that problem...

My mechanic told me it was sitting fine, maybe he's wrong, but if you have little gas in the car & you take a hard turn & the pump is not submurged in gas, it shouldn't bog right? It should hold pressure. My old pump never did this. Thnx

I had this problem during DEs, under 1/4-tank and sustained Gs. Never experienced this on the street or when autocrossing (even when running on fumes).
