A/C question

When I got my 200sx the A/C hose that goes from the compressor to the condenser was busted off of it. Would this cause the compressor not to kick on? I have since replaced the hose, and it still doesn't kick on... so I replaced the relay. That didn't work either. The blue light comes on inside the car when I push the button, but nothing happens to the radiator fans or the compressor.

Has this happened to anyone else here?

*bump*

Anyone have any ideas? I'd like to fix this myself, but if its something I can't I'll have to take it to a dealership.

Stupid question: when you replaced the hose, did you refill the system w/ R134A? If you did not recharge the system, some cars have a pressure switch that won't allow the compressor to kick-on w/o a certain pressure to prevent burning up the compressor. That's my thoughts.

No, I didn't do anything to it but replace the hose. I'll get it refilled and see what happens.
