car acting up need help

Well when my car is at idle is sounds somewhat fine but when you step on the accelerator it sounds like it is missing. I checked the sparkplugs and have all of them gapped at .028 I also got some codes off of the ecu and one was for the crank angle sensor (was changing the cams to get them right)and the other was the knock sensor. Now I tested the knock sensor for continuity and the harness and they both work does'nt make sense(would the knock sensor cause this problem)
If I reset the ecu and given that the cams are set properly would that fix my problems? Oh yeah took it out to drive and when driving sounds like it is missing. Keep in mind I installed a 300zx tt fuelpump,72lb injectors,cobra maf (unless there is some other way to connect I have is connected like the following;
A-12v-orange/blue stripe
B,C-ground-white
D-(0-5v)-orange
I have the ground going to the (-)battery
The cams are set with the pointy part of the lobes parallel < > like that. So now I need some help on what could possible be the problem. TIA

Okay figured out one of the problems #3 injector harness was not on all the way. Now car idles like a dream but when you drive the car and step on the gas it runs hard until it hits between 3500-4000rpms and surges(jerks). My techdom says that I am at 15* but do you think that could be caused by not have the cams set correctly? I am going to buy new cap and rotor to do a process of elimination and fuel filter. I am hopeing that I can have this fixed within a couple of days maybe sooner with everyones helps.

With the JWT ECU the techtom will allways say your at 15 on the timing. Put it in timing mode and make sure. Drive it a while and see if the ECU learns the new cams. Sometimes this takes a couple day or so. Oh and what cams are ya runnin?

I am running the s-3 cams. So what you are saying is the problem that I am having could be normal and give it a day or two to see if the problems is the same?

Update I replaced the o2 sensor,distributor cap and rotors and fuelfilter. Car ran good except for a little hesitation but made boost up to 10lbs. Engine light was coming on when boost went up but when off boost light did not go on. Drove the car for about 5min. and then the car would not go past 2-3lbs and then I could not accelerate until I let off the gas and slowly step on the gas. Hit a stop light and there was no power I would have to have the rpms up to 5000 in order to slowly move.
Did a compression check and reads 120psi just about on all cylinders. Put some oil in all cylinders and compression went up sky high. I guessed I fried my pistonrings all the way.
I have had my wesico pistons and eagle rods in the closet with a cometic headgasket I guess this is time for a rebuid again. The only thing that is going to hold me up is figuring out which grade of rod bearings to get have get some calipers and measure the rod journals and then the rod diameter unless someone has a better way? I will keep you all posted.
