Weird 58mph or 2650 RPM i think issue

Guys i have been having a kinda odd problem...

When i am Driving down the road at 58-60 mph car runs fine. Have my foot on the gas holding the car at that speed. Well almost the same sopt every day my car looses power for 3 seconds and then comes back to running like normal...

THe problem is When i am driving and it does this i press the gas to try to make it stop and the car still bogs down for 3 seconds or so.

I can down shift into 4th and everything is fine..

So its a RPM issue i am having and only happens at a certin RPM

Like in 3rd gear at 34 mph and close to 3000 rpms 's it does it also but not as bad.

What could be my problem?

Thanks guys if you can help me fix this last problem with my car my 1 year swap will be running right

does it do it in every gear.. *** im guessing MAF.. Check and make shure all your wires are properly connected to your MAF.. happend to me once when i put my intake in and i dident fully plug in the plug to the MAF and around 3k RPM the car would bog down like and the intake would sound like its all covered up.. just my 2 cents.. i could be wrong though.

it kind of sounds like the problem a car has when it isn't getting enough fuel, though I don't know why it would only do it at a certain rpm

yeah the fuel filter had no effect

i have noticed that it does it after i get off of my onramp and get up to speed and hold it at 56 or so. About 5 seconds after that it starts doing what i said above.

Second issue is at 35 in 4th gear i get this like open closed throttle type effect. Like the car's throttle is open then closed open then closed

the car sounds like its going in limp mode check the voltage on the two outside wires on the maf, and check the ohms on the middle one.

I checked all of this and such plus I have a badass ground on the maf wire. I mean i get .001 on it.

could it be because my AAc valve? could it be my JDM temp sensor (they forgot to swap it so i dont have a USDM one now). i have almost all my ground regrounded. i have a slightly bad o2 sensor that i get a code on once in a blue moon.

Get a Bosch o2, they're ~$50. Try to swap distributors with another Classic, see if that fixes the problem. You may have a piece of debris inside the distributor (not the cap), or perhaps a bad camshaft angle sensor. Your TPS could have a dead spot in it. At some specific throttle angle the potentiometer could be breaking contact. Check the gap on your plugs, swap transistors/ignitors with a friend, check resistance of the ignition coil.

BTW, I have a 91 SE-R chassis that I'm trying to get rid of. It is in OK shape, the frames stright, the body has some dents. If you want a project car/race car, I'll sell it for dirt cheap. PM me if your interested, I'm located in MD, not a bad commute.

Guys,

I blocked my EGR (without cleaning it) and still get a slight hesitation in all gears. Did u clean it before blocking the EGR?

Is your BOV recird? Marcus used to have slight hesitation after shifting before he recir'd. I found out what my problem was...it was the injector grounds on the intake manifold plenum. D'OH!!!!

Could it be the throttle position sensor on the fritz? Good luck, if you fix it, post how you fixed the problem so we know what to look for.
