Idle issue.

Ok,

So I am starting to take all preformance parts off the Se-l and selling them.

Yesterday I took of the CAI and now I have Idle problem...

When I would start the car cold it would idle at 1.5k and work its way down to 700 or 800 .. Ever sice I took off the CAI it Idles at 1000 now and it looks like it has trouble even staying there.

What could cause this.. Is the stock air box cutting off that much air..
Is it cause I still have the s3's in there.

I am clueless

It may have something to do with the fact that it is harder for the engine to get air through the stock air box (Just speculation). Don't B14's have an idle adjustment knob? You could adjust your idle until the ECU gets adjusted.

yeah I am going to have to do something.

I start it in the morning and it goes to 1k and falls all the way back down and dies.

I have to give it a little gas.

I guess I will see this weekend when the cams/pulley/header/exhaust come off the car.

Someone told me that when I first installed my S3R's that on cold starts I would have to rev the car three time to keep it from dying. I never experienced this, but it's worth noting.
