HELP! warped back pulley?

Here is the story: I just obtained a NX2000 with UR pulleys, the 2 pulley set. Now, I know the 2 pulley set comes with the crank and water pump.

That leaves the power steering, a/c, and alternator. I can identify all of that on the engine no problem. *edit* maybe not! *end edit!*

However, since my car came with a blown radiator, and the previous owner told me he thinks the belt size was wrong for the water pump, causing it to jump - I am changing that belt.

He had a Kelly Springfield 340K4 on there, which according to the box is a 864mm belt. The UR recommended is a 875mm belt. I don't know why a belt that is too small would jump (or even fit in the first place), but it was clearly off the back pulley.

Here is my REAL problem: BEHIND the water pump pulley(underneath and behind the oil filter) is another pulley... I don't know what it goes to, but after pulling out the belt, I gave it a spin to find it is warped. I guess when the belt jumped it locked the pulley and warped it.

What does it go to, and does that mean the motor might be f*cked?

waterpump pulley, could have warped the shaft on the pump though, it should have 4 10mm bolts, pull em off and see if its just the pulley.

That is the PS pulley? Same deal, pull it and look at the shaft?

Could this be a BIG deal, or simple parts replacement? (I'm thinking simple parts replacement)

Thanks guys!

yes that is the power steering, and ive been told that they are all like that, thats the way they were designed i guess, they wobble a little bit like they are warped. because my old car, nx1600 the ps pump pulley was the same way, it wobbled alot. and i was told by several people that thats just the way they are. i never had any problems with.

I have never heard anything being okay to wobble especially a pulley. That could cause the belt to pop off. Mine does not do that at all.

if it wabbles seems like it would put pressure on the pump and make the bearings go bad

yes, bad for bearings, very bad. mHit up the junk yard and see if you can score either a pully or an assembly. If it just the pully, switch to UR pully. I would suggest not driving incase it does pop off, because it is linked to the water pump.

when you change the rad. go with the NX rad. Isn't that the two row?

Yep, the rad was blown before I got it.. which came first.. warped, belt jumped, or overheated? That is the question.

I got a NX2000 rad that came in today. I don't know if it is 2 row or not, I don't have a single-row to compare it to, but it looks like what is in my other NX.

As soon as those hoses get here I'll be able to hook it up and see.

I'm talking to Ben to see if he can get me the pulley, but I need to drop the engine to get the stupid thing off (unless someone else has a better idea of how to do it) I need to check the pump itself anyway to be sure.
