does that piece just not go back on the new header? becasue there is a plug in hot shot?

It goes into the side of the header up near the top of it (Closest to the head)? I think you are talking about the EGR, there should be a fitting for it on your new header.

Yeah do a search, someone here makes an EGR removal kit that will come with the blockoff plate for the intake manifold and a plug for your header. The only side-effect would be that would would be riding around with an SES.

I think he means service engine soon light like CEL. Willi93ser, if the hole that is plugged is the bottom most of the 3 holes, that's for your AIV tube if you have a b13. Just take the plug out and hook it up.

The lower pipe is for the Air Injection system, the reason there is a plug is because some years dont have the Air injection system, so on those you just plug it !!

It may be different for the B13 and B14, but on the B15 no on has found a way to remove the EGR without tripping a code. I know Ian said he had his EGR removed on his B14 SE-R and he had an SES.
