I have tried almost everything.....

I have replaced: Radiator, thermostat, radiator hoses, heater hose, fuses/relay, radiator cap, and now I have even short-term wired my fans to a toggle switch that I can control myself untill I find the culprit behind the problem. I cant stop boiling over out of my overflow. I dont break 210 deg., so whats the problem? My factory temp gauge dosen't go past the half way mark so all I can think of it being is the factory temp sending unit. ?? Josh

EDIT: If it matters much, its a bb swap b13. The radiator is a NX unit. Something else that may be related, when I first noticed the overheating, I also noticed that there is a noise under accelleration that sounded like a rod at first, but after sticking my head out the window to listen it sounds like a boost leak. Kindofa fluttering tick that stops after 5 min. of driving. Thanks in advance, Josh

I guess I should also add that the fans would not come on, even with the a/c on.

It could be temp sender. The one for the fans is the 2 wire one the same one that sends info to the ECU. The other is for the gage and has one wire. It could be as simple as a bad radiator cap. What are ya using to get the water temp reading?

My factory gauge wont go past vertical, so I put an autometer electrical gauge in. I replaced cap with a 300tt cap, and it boiled over a little last night, but none today. I hope what boiled last night was just regular overfill....Josh

Are you still using the JDM temp sending units?
If you are replace them with new USDM ones.
Also, you did properly bleed the cylinder head and radiator?

As good as I can. The front bleeder screw is broken off, so I just bled it out of the hose as good as I could. Use USDM sensors even if it's a bb ecu?
Thanks, Josh

Ouch!
How did that happen? Guess you'll have to eventually have it drilled out and tapped.

Ok, I didn't know you had a BB ECU. But then how old are those sensors?
When the temp sensors go bad, they register colder than what the temp actually is.

Where do you have the sender for the Autometer electrical gauge located at? How is it hooked up?

Ok. I noticed tonight that under minimal boost, the temp gauge drops down until I let off and it rises back up to the halfway mark. Does that help? Josh
