will not start?????

Before I start I searched and could not find the answer. I just replaced my starter,,,,if you have done this you know how bad it sucks. Anyways now it will not start. All of the wires are hooked up right and are tight.

When I try to start it the started turns the motor over but does not fire. I checked the fire at the plugs and it has GOOD spark. It ran before I replaced the starter,,,what the hell,,this is driving me mad!!!!

On top of that I spent Sat. and Sun. painting in the wheel wells and suspention components, painted the brake calipers red( they look great ). Was ready to show off at the local hang-out when BAMMM. Starter took a crap.

Anyone with ideas. I talked to a guy at the local tuner and he said to check the fuel ignition fuses or fused links but I checked the one in the dash,,,are there more???

I just got it running. My problem was that the relay wire from the selinoid(that doesn't look right) to the starter itself was touching(still) a metal water line or something on the back of the block. I took it back out and repositioned the relay wire so it was away from the metal line. I also wrapped it very well with electrical tape. Bolted everything down tight and she back on the road.

I used a Percision Products starter or something like that. I will repost with the right name and model # so that way if anyone gets one they will know to reposition the relay wire so it doesn't touch anything.
