Whats that hose that goes from the top of the transmission right under the clutch cab
Today i was adjusting my clutch cable and i noticed that there was a hose that ran from the top of the tranny into nowhere...i was like WTF?! Not sure if maybe they forgot to hook the hose back up or what but i dont see it going anywhere.....Anybody have any clue as to where it hooks up to ? My guess is the trans. cooler line but isn't that for automatic?? TIA...

If your talking about the line that comes straight up towards the hood then bends down in a U shape its just a breather for the tranny. Now, Anyone care to explain why mine is spewing oil. I know the tranny is messed up I just wondered if its an indication of a particular problem.

Isn't it supposed to spew oil? I guess maybe to relieve the transmission oil pressure when it spins too fast and cavitates.
uh its not supposed to spew oil, its supposed to vent gas, not liquiddo you have it pointing up, or is it kinda laying flat, even with the trans? I'm thinking if its too low then liquid, if possible might be getting out

No its straight up sitting in the Holder on the large Vac line. My tranny is fudged for sure I just wonder if its a fixeable problem or I should just order a tranny.
that sux, it seems to me being turbo is such a big hassle... i wish i had the money to take my car to a well known speed shop and have them take care of all the odds and ends that nag me and I dont have time to take care of

you don't really have to worry about fluid coming out of the transmission. The transmission needs an opening to vent and the hose serves that purpose. If there is no opening, the internal pressure can blow the transmission.
