New style vs Old style Chain tensioner..help
i have about 1/2 " slack in my timing chain now and i think this is the cause for why my cam timing went horribley off. I want to know if a new style timing chain tensioner ( i have the original one in my 93) would make enough of a diff so the chain wasnt so loose. I'd rather just drop the 50 on this than spend 300 for the complete kit form courtesy to replace the guides, sprockets, etc. And if tis didnt make enough diff, i'd prob just drop the 450 on a new jdm motor instead.. any ideas?
