Brakes or Suspension Bushings? Need Help.

Okay, here are the symptoms exhibited by my '95 G20:

When creeping forward (like at a stop sign) there is a squeaking noise coming from the front driver's side wheel. The noise continues until the car is up to speed and then sometimes comes back. It also makes this noise when turning left. When the brakes are applied there is a squeaking noise. There is also a metallic grinding noise coming from the rear passenger side wheel when turning right. And to cap it all off there is a metallic moaning noise coming from the rear wheels when the car is in reverse.

Infiniti has told me it is either the brakes or some suspension bushings. Is there anything I can do to determine which one is more likely the problem? I need to get this resolved fast, especially if it's the brakes (loss of braking power=very very bad).

Also, the last two noises I listed just appeared yesterday after a huge amount of rain.

It's funny that you post this, as I am having the exact same symptoms on my B15 front drivers side wheel. I have checked everything to see what is making the darn noise. We took apart the caliper and greased up the pad brackets, sprayed lubricant into the tie-rod boots, inspected the cv joint and axle. All this and it still cannot be found. I think its the wheel bearing but when I shake the tire when its jacked up there is no play. I am taking off my coilovers this weekend, maybe they are the cause (I doubt it).

Anyways, if anyone has any input, I'm also interested in hearing it.

I'm going to see if one of the techs at the Acura dealer I work for will take a glance at it for me...I'll let you know if I find out anything.

have you guys checked to see if your caliper pins are seized? i had that happened to me once. sounds horrific. turned out rear left caliper pin seized and brake pads wore out unevenly to the point that it was metal on metal contact.

Hmmm...I will take a look for seized pins. Although there was no uneven brake wear.

MattB, any word from the Acura technicians?
