AAC valve install tomorrow.

Err, actually, I guess it'd be today.

My 1993 NX2000 w/ 224,000 original miles has the dreaded cold idle problem. Yes, she hesitates a little bit when the engine temperature is cold. I have acquired a 1998 Sentra SE AAC/IACV and I am going to attempt to install it tomorrow on my NX. I will have pictures and a write-up for all you nerds to look at after I'm finished. It won't be too hard. I figured it's easier to just acquire a newer AAC/IACV rather than clean my existing one, since they both look the same. In other words, I believe a highport and lowport AAC/IACV are interchangeable. I'm also going to do a fuel filter, and I might get excited and do a compression test while I'm at it. Anyone got any helpful hints/tips for installing an AAC valve on a highport SR20?

Well, I'll give you guys some updates tomorrow. I won't be using a new gasket....just some RTV in place of a gasket. Anyone think this will cause a problem?

-TIA

Yeah let us know how it runs after you clean it. I'm about to clean mine too once I finish making my own phenolic gaskets and polishing the IM
