Trouble Timing New JDM motor

So I went to go Time my 92 SE-R today again since its been about a month since it was installed... For some reason after I let it warm up and pull the TPS the car dies... I have tried to time it fairly close without removing the TPS sensor but it bounces all over the place... and I can't even get the lines to match up with the pin.. I am staying way to far outside. I am using a professional grade Craftsman (oxymoron) timing light with an adjustable dial.. any help would be great.

u might need to start by setting the base idle and the go to the timing...
