Thinner Head Gasket (high CR)

oi. i hate posting two nebie-like questions in a such a short period of time, but let me get this over with.

First off i have a 2001 sentra se that i am looking to make quick without alot of money (already have bolt on's)

i have heard that there is a head gasket that is thinner than the stock one, and when installed will give a higher CR. i have also recently purchased a set of 10:1 pistons, but i cannot find anyone to install these for a decent price. i am also trying to locate a rr primera gt intake cam, which i can get installed for a decent price. should i buy a thinner head gasket and try to raise compression that way? will that gasket fit the rr head with little to no fitment issues? how much do these gaskets run and where could i find one (link or phone number)?

last thing. if you know someone who could install these pistons in the midwest (near chicago, wi, in, mo) PLEASE PM me and let me know. i'd much rather do that (because i already have the pistons) but i have a feeling that neither of these will end up being an option. again thank you much for any positive feedback and responses.

Well not sure if a thinner head gasket will raise your CR. i was under the impression that using 10:1 pistons and having the engine head milles would do the trick....I got a buddy who owns his own shop in the NW burbs, maybe he can give you some info as to how much for the install....let me know i'll give you his # ....might be by appointment only, he's kinda shorthanded right now...

Tomie makes thinner head gaskets to raise compression, they are around $200, not sure if the RR gasket is the same though. They have different sizes for various CR's. AEBS is a distributer for Tomie.
