Hyperco Gen2's on GR2's

I just posted about trading someone my Hyperco Gen 1's for his Gen 2's but then I got to thinking. Is my car going to be seriously underdamped (i.e., it'll bounce all over the place and perform like crap) or will this combination be okay? I really can't afford AGX's right now but I want to get them in the future.

Gen 2 bounces a lot less (almost none) than Gen 1.

I have GR-2s on Gen 2s and AGXs on Gen 1s. The Gen 2s ride *and* handle way better than the Gen 1s (on any AGX setting combo).

Have you ever autocrossed with this setup (Gen 2's with GR2's)? I have this sinking suspicion that this setup will be super underdamped, but I am hoping that it won't be.
I just realized that I put this thread in the wrong place. Can someone move it for me, please?
Thanks.

I had this set up on my 92. It was fine for driving around town, not sure how it would be when you autox though. In the end I was thinking of getting agx's but I sold the car instead.

I never autox-d the gen2s, but I did the convention track day with only the fronts (gen2s Gr2s), just because I didnt have time to replace the rears before the road trip to ALA.

The suspension was never an issue (save for the rear floating under heavy braking and acceleration...but it was stock). My brakes were weak, but I never noticed the front end being an issue. It felt pretty neutral with a slight tendency to understeer (but this is with stock rear everything+only a rear strut tower brace).

It rocked.

Additionally, I autox-d the Gen1s on AGXs on the highest settings. It was a little bouncy and not as predictable as I had hoped.

How long did you have the GR2's on the Gen. 2 springs? I think this combo might be fine when the dampers are new, but after they get a little tired I think the dampers won't be able to hold up. I just want as much input on this as possible. Thanks as usual.

I had mine on for about a year (they are still on the car) but the struts are about 3 years old.
