help with battery

hey guys, quick problem, i rev past 4k rpm and ALL my lights get brighter and my battery light starts coming on, i cleaned the contacts and put those terminal protectors as well as protectant spray and it still does it any suggestions would be appreciated thanks

thats the thing, i just replaced the alt like a month ago and i got a new battery around the same time...

sounds like it's overcharging. it could be a defective alternator, loose belt, cracks on the terminals, loose terminals, bad cell on the battery. get it checked at sears auto for 13 bucks man. it'll save ya alot of headaches.

yes, if you bought an advance alty, they are 50% bad! I have had horrible luck with them. Also, over voltage/undervoltage is very bad for your car. It is possible to burn every damn thing in your car, so get it taken care of soon. It sounds like the voltage regulator in the alty is bad. Good luck.

voltage regulator is not working properly?, replace it or you will fry stuff

doesnt matter anymore.. my celica melted itself together lol so i will replace it when i put the new motor in, hell who knows i might get a 3sgte ::wink:: then we'll see what is going on
