I'm trying to install a intake system to my car tonight, but there are two sensors, one is the mass airflow sensor, the other is a smaller sensor, that is located inside the airbox where the stock filster is, and we dont know what to do with that sensor, and its not plugged in right now and the check engine light is on. Is there anyway I can fix it?
Yes, if you have a hotshot and the correct one, ie one meant for a lowport there should be a little grommet on the maf adapter that the smaller sensor plugs into. The small sensor is your IAT sensor (intake air temp). If you don't have a hotshot and there is no hole for that sensor to plug into, just leave it out and ziptie it to something. You will most likely throw a CEL but it won't make your car run poorly.
