GTi-R ECU in a SR20DE...?

Hi...

Having just installed my new SR20DE from my old SR18DE, I wanted to know if I be able to put a JDM GTi-R ECU into my SR20DE, I have the GTi-R Injectors but couldn't use them with my old SR18DE as the ECU wasn't set up for them...

Would the GTi-R ECU run the engine properly with the correct injectors even though the turbo is missing...? Or would it still be impossible...?

Cheers,

Kim.

1- you will need the gtir o2 sensor

2- the gtir injectors are low impedence so you need to drop the impedence of you injectors.

3- a little tps wiring and you should be good

what year is your car? it needs to be a 91-94 for this to apply

Hi Ryan,

Cheers for the reply...

My car is a JDM Pulsar GTi 1992.

I think I have the o2 sensor already, it's the one that is fitted into the header/manifold...?

The injectors I have are 370cc black tops, they are not fitted at the moment... what do you mean by "you will have to lower the impedence of your injectors"...?

Also what wiring mods are you talking about...? by TPS I take it you mean Throttle Position Sensor, how will this affect things...?

I thought that if I were to match the correct injectors (370cc ones) to the GTi-R ECU then I would have the correct fuel curves to run a 2.0ltr lump... albeit without the turbo. I might be talking bollox with that theory though!!!

Cheers,

Kim.

Kim

the gtir has 444cc low impedence injectors. there top feed, you need them to make the car run right. you need to get resisters to run these on the sr20de harness and the gtir injectors have different clips (plugs) so you need them also, jwt sells the clips and the resistors

also you need the gtir 02 sensor and yes its the one in the header, if it not the gtir one then the car will run bit not perfect.

i dont know how to u rewire the tps, but i am 95% sure it need to be done try look around here to find the wiring our try www.se-r.net i think you swap 2 wires but again am not possitive

hope this helps
