Ok I looked around first. Ok I have a new ground cable for the battery, but it do not have the clamp in the middle that is bolted to the fender. It is runs from the battery to the thermastat housing. I was woundering why Nissan has that ground in the middle of the cable. Any help would be great. Thanks Dominic
Well, it's basically grounding the motor to the chassis to the battery to complete the curcuit and give it good grounds. I bought a new one from Nissan for like $15. Well worth it too. When I took out my old one, one snap of the end and half the wires broke off. Very corroded.

Cool deal I will get one from Nissan in the morning. The more I thought about it there had to be a reasen they did it that way... Thanks for the input. Dominic
There are aftermarket ground cables that have a second ground loop in the middle too. I saw some in Autozone, but the guage does not look the same. Looked smaller.

I used 2 pieces of welders cable. One from the battery to the chassis ground and one from the chassis to the thermostat ground. With end pieces, cost me less than $7.
No problems, and have had it on for 1 1/2 years.
Later,
Mark
