brake difference?

Sorry to bother you with another brake question, but i was just wondering what the difference between regular sentra brakes and se-r brakes are? i have and nx2000 but i think that the previouse owner installed the wrong brakes. how do i know if when i get new brakes, i wll be getting the right size?? any part numbers?

The SE-R has bigger brakes then the regular sentra. The reg sentra also has drum rears, and we have disc. Your NX2k has even bigger brakes then the SE-R. The rotor is alot thicker. Search for "ad22" and you should be able to find the dimensions of the rotor and measure yours to see if its correct.

I searched for you and found it. They should be 257mmx26mm. Most places have the nx brakes listed wrong and when you order them, you get the smaller se-r one's. If you search you will find tons of info on it, including part numbers to make sure you get the right stuff.

Looking at the numbers etched on the calipers, SE-R calipers should say AD18VF and the NX calipers should say AD22VF.

hmm, if i wanna get the stock brake kit or stock rotors for the NX2000, do i have to order them from coutesy nissan? or can i get aftermarket rotors, such as the brembo one that fit all NX2000 w/o ABS?

That's another screw-up. Order the ones for NX2000 with ABS. Last year I worked at a parts store, and it was really hard to try and tell my boss all of the listing were wrong....even though I owned three NX2000s, 2 with ABS, one without and they all had the exact same front brakes.

so it's ok to get the brembo rotors as long as they are the ABS ones. BTW, my NX2000 is w/o ABS

yep. Order the ones for NX2000 with ABS. Unless someone has changed your entire front brakes (pads, rotors, calipers torque members) to something not original, it will fit.

You said your car has sentra brakes? If so, you need calipers too, or the nx rotors will not fit. brake lines are the same. You can get some nice stainless steel braided ones for around $100. Calipers shouldnt really matter. Call up matt (maddmatt) at carbotech for some nice brake pads. Tell him your a forum member for 10% off.

oh, hey mike, i guess everything in my brakes is NX like the callipers, i just need new rotors and there in lies the problems, so now i'm getting bremebo, hopefully the measurements are correct and they will be ok for my NX callipers
