jb weld mounts

ok sorry to post such a common question and i searched just got a bunch of crap. what are the advantages to doing the jb weld to the mounts compared to the es inserts. besides price, do they hold up well?

I think you are a little confused Jeff. You most certainly would not use JB weld to fill in your stock motor mounts. People have used a product called 3M window weld with good results however. Now that you can get a full set of Prothane inserts for only $45 or so it doesn't make sense to "pour your own" anymore though.

well i need to buy mounts now....i broke my rear mount....Nismo or oem with inserts?

Definately get teh Prothane solid mount inserts. If you ahve any questions feel free to ask me bro. i just got them, and pressed them in myself, and the toatl cost wast about $50 after shipping, and I LOVE them. Not too bad vibration either.

well back to square one, the bolts for my rear motor mount vaproized.....so i need bolts instead of a mount.....so es inserts, i heard ill still have to get new mounts because they werent designed to fit in the stock ones but they were designed to fit in the oem ones if i understood correctly

I would go Prothane. i am pro-Prothane. they are cheaper too. Hit me up on AIM and I can talk to you about them if you want. djmayhem03
