MIght have overheated the NX today...

I was driving to work this morning, it was about 6*. About halfway there, i glanced and saw my needle *almost* pinning the "H". SO i pulled her over, shut her down, blasted the heat, and opened the hood. I am running a UR 2-pulley set, i had water in my reservoir still, and my hood is popped up about 1/2" in the front. I already checked the pump belt tension, and im going to check the water pump itsef when i get home, There was no water coming out of the weeping hole though. Anybody have any other leads? It has fresh coolant/H20 in a 50/50 mix. I just think it's funny how my car almost overheats on the coldest friggen day of the year.

check the thermostat first. Easy to replace and cheap.

Steve, I'm sure with the below zero temps we've been having, your thermostat stuck closed. I'd put a thermostat in it.
