did worse at emissions test!

blah, after failing the first time, i thought i was being slick by changing my oxygen sensor and unplugging(putting vacuum tube back) between the egr and bpt valves... nope, i did incredibly worse..

NO 1150 to 3000

HC 172 to 187

i'm just pissed that hooking the egr back up made the NO so much worse and the new 02 did nothing to help anything..

grrrr..

can anybody advise?

i read through Kent's post again and want to clarify that keeping the car warm before testing is NOT smart.. i think that's what made my NO(x) jump so much higher... the only reason i warmed my car so much is because i read to do so on this forum.. there is like one post in Kent's thread saying to do otherwise and i think that is only GOOD advice based on my experience.

THe point of keeping the car warm is so that the cat will warm up, and work better.

If you havnt done a full tune up, do so.

Clean out the egr
NEw fuel filter
dist cap
rotor
plug wires
plugs

I also added some "heet" to my gas before i went in and that helped
