thermostat replacement

hello again. just wondering if i should just but a stock thermostat or get the nismo 'stat. got 100k miles and doing a serious tune-up on my baby. the nismo opens at 145*, while the stock is at 180*(according to the dealer parts dept.)

I don't see any reason you would need a lower opening t-stat.
Go stock.

I just got a new thermo from autozone, a whole $7, it's rated at 170* i believe, at least thats what the kid's screen said. Eitherway, my stock one was messed up, took forever to warm up the engine. Honestly you have no reason to get the nismo thermo.

Don't waste your money on it just because it says NISMO. No one will see it and for the street, why would you want to have it open so soon?
