i've been told that my CV-joints are going out/are bad on my car. i was wondering what a good estimate would be on how much they will cost to fix and if i need to get them fixed immediately. any info would be awesome
If you do it yourself you can either spend 300 on raxles, or 120 on rebuilt autocrap axles. The raxles have new CV joints and better boots. I have done a full write up on axle replacement... just search the forum for my name and axle.
i just got the car back from the mechanic and he says that hes got good and bad news. good is that i dont owe him any money, and the bad is that he couldnt find the right axles for my car (1995 200sx se-r). is that what you were origintally talking about? Raxles? Where can i find them?
