i'm looking to get the most possible out of my 92 integra and was wondering what it might take to drop an sr20 FWD into it. I have found an affordable sr20 but i can't find a tranny. i'm totaly in the dark on this topic so any info anyone has would be greatly appreciated. a friend of mine said it's a feasible swap with the right parts (he said i would basically need all the front end parts of a skyline). Also, how much horse does this motor produce? would i be better off dropping in a performance honda engine?
-thanks
Sure ya can do it. I hope your fabracation skills are up to speed and ya have access to a will equipped shop. Do know why ya would need any skyline parts though A friend is bugging me to do one in a 91 hatch he has

The way I see it, it can be done. But the issue isn't how or how much; the issue is will it be worth it. Consider all the effort and $$$$ you'll spend to custom fit a SR20DE in the car and then the mods to go with it.
Just a thought....

Like everyone above has stated anything is possible with deep enough pockets but I get the feeling that your pockets are hardley any deeper than the rest of ours. That said it would most definitely be cheaper and way easier to buy a b18b in pop it in the teg with out any troubles. You might be thinking why B18B. Lots of reasons:
-You can usually find them for ~6-8 hundred, thats super cheap when compared to the rest of the B-series motors with exception of the lesser powered B18A(10 ponies).
-It has decent power and torque, 140 hp and 125ish ft-lbs, very similar to sr20de numbers and with .2 liters less dilplacement.
-Though maybe not as many as the sr20, there are performance mods for this engine.
-There is always the possibility of the ls-vtec which is kick ass when done right.
Just out of curiosity what happened to your original B18A?? And if it isn't totally trashed why not rebuild it with bigger pistons and a v-tec head?
None the less though popping an sr into an integra would be pretty cool and a noteworthy accomplishment.

get a nissan or do a b series swap. ive seen a kid here with an LS/Vtec civic tap into the 11's. Frankenstein motor cost alot but produce alot if done right. You could try a b20, its a bit closer to an sr20, but not the same
