Hi i have been reading a few post that have been stating that you can use some things from the Z32 on the SR20DE.
1) the MAF now i have a N/A Sr20 and i was wondering would this make any difference to my car, and how would i put it in is it a straight unplug the old on and plug in the Z32 one?
2) Z32 N/a pistons how do i go about this and what gains in cc is it and is it hard to do?
If you're going turbo, then yes, the Z32 MAF will be of use. Your ECU will need to be reprogrammed for it, or you will have to compensate for it via some other electronic means.
You have to cut the wiring harness and splice in the Z32 MAF.
If you're staying NA, then Z32 pistons are an upgrade. If you're going turbo, stick with the stock pistons and lower compression ratio.
Actually the Z32 pistons are good for NA or Turbo, the NA Z32 pistons yield 11:1 in an SR20 , and the Turbo Z32 pistons will drop the comp. down to about 8.5:1 , and hold up to decent boost ....The bore is larger, 75mm vs the stock 86.5, but thats an easy machine shop job as well as a little work on the rod small ends to get them to fit right !!
