This sound came on a few days ago for no apparent reason. It is like a throaty ratle or vibration that is pronounced under 3000 RPM while Decelerating and while acelerating with minimal throttle. Its pretty much unnoticable while just cruising though or at higher RPM's. So it seems to be both RPM and throttle position dependant. It sounds to be comming from the left side of the engine bay where the PS/Alternator/AC are. It is loud enough to annoy the crap outa me, so please help.
A stab in the dark (silence since we're talking noises?) because I'm not there to hear it, but what about exhaust vibrations and harmonics? If something got bumped under there, vibrations that don't have direct metal-to-metal could make a throaty noise. ?
