I took my crank out and it measured as follows...
Main Journals
Journal 1: 2.1640"
Journal 2: 2.1637"
Journal 3: 2.1638"
Journal 4: 2.1638"
Journal 5: 2.1637"
Journal 1 is the journal right next to the crank pulley...
Pin Journals
Pin 1: 1.8881"
Pin 2: 1.8881"
Pin 3: 1.8880"
Pin 4: 1.8880"
If you look at the specs of the main journal, it would entail that I would have a journal of grade #3. The smallest of the 4 grades available.
From the factory that crank was stampped with 1111 which means my pin journals have a grade of #1 from the factory, but after so many miles it is now barely a grade 2.
I ultimately want to use GTI-R main and conn rod bearings on this motor, what should I do?
A. Get this crank flashed and re-ground
B. Get a new OEM Nissan crank
C. Get a Jun crank.
I personally am leaning towards B and C. What do you think? Its an 8 web crank. Which USDM Nissan crank will fit? Where can I get a Jun crank? Does a S13/14/15 crank fit the U13 block?
Thanks
