Finding the best Exhaust

I want suggestions and opinions on what kind of Exhaust to get for my B14 SE-R .
I want something that is silent but has deep tone when you floor it. I don't want something that is loud or annoying loud. Advanced Thanks to those who will post a reply on this post.

Re: Finding the best Exhaust

Are you turbo or N/A. Makes a difference.

I really like my friends setup, its on an NX but same thing, 2.5" turbo back with a Maxspeed muffler. Can't remember if he has a cat or resonator or not. I am pretty sure he has one or the other. Maxspeeds run about $100 or so but they sound nice. Nice tone when you mash on it.

The VRS piping kits look very nice too, and if you can weld you can just buy the piping kit and save some cash.

Re: Finding the best Exhaust

There have been quite a few discussions about this in the past, just click the search "button" up top and type in B14 Exhaust. But as was said, the VRS is nice and inexpensive if you have welding skill/resources.

Re: Finding the best Exhaust

It depends on what you plan on doing with your car. Piping diameter changes with certain mods for the best combo. But if you looking for something aftermarket, maybe a stromung or HKS. I think mine is quiet, and its louder then a greddy SP. People think the SP is hella loud, so your definition may be different then others. Any aftermarket exhaust is gonna be far from quiet. Quiet and exhaust just dont mix.

Well my set up is N/A. IM thinking of getting the whole exhaust system not just the muffler. I have a friend who has a Civic Si and used to have a Greddy on his car( not really sure what kind) But that cat back exhaust system is really silent but has a very nice tone when he is racing, not annoying. I was going to purchase the same thing . But he told me Greddy doesn't make one for B14s on that particular model. Thats why right now im in the market looking for good cat back exhaust for my car.
