Is it Possible?

When putting the clutch together, is it possible to put the clutch disc on backwards? Or will it hit the flywheel bolts and it would be noticable that it's on backwards?

Very Curious, Thanks.

Re: Is it Possible?

Actually do you think that would cause symptoms of hard shifting, but could drive around, and then not being able to put into gear unless the car is turned off?

Re: Is it Possible?

I think, since I've tried everything I can, that the tranny is actually the problem. If so, sorry but, Mother fu*ker! I purchased the tranny from a place called Midway Auto Inc. in New Jersey, must be a junk yard or something, for $575 shipped. Struggle to put it in after waiting for the Fidanza flywheel to come in and take it for a spin. Everything works, just hard to shift (especially first gear), so I go home to adjust it. Get home adjust it, go ahead start it up, go to put it in gear and nothing works. Nothing goes in and reverse grinds.
So ending conclusion the tranny itself has to be fu*ked.
