Stalling on ignition, bucking and sputtering

Sometimes when I start the car and let out the clutch, the car seems to die. This happens sometimes when i dont let out the clutch either...but happens more when i do let the clutch out. Also, when im in 2nd gear, and get a little high in the RPMs (usually around 3000 and up) and let go of the gas the car bucks sometimes softly, but more often than not it bucks violently. i got a new oil filter, the sparks look fine and i got a new TPS as well.

Re: Stalling on ignition, bucking and sputtering

does the car actually die? right after starting?

if you give it gas right after starting does it keep the car from stalling?

sounds like you might have the same idle problem as everyone
things to check:
O2 sensor - how old is it?
fuel filter - if it is dirty replace it with a 300zxtt filter
idle speed - should be 850rpm
IAC/AAC valve - these get very dirty and will go bad with time
EGR - is it clogged
MAF - have you regrounded it?

Re: Stalling on ignition, bucking and sputtering

hmm these are all good suggestions. the o2 sensor is new. my guess is a dirty filter. i dont think nissan bothered replacing it during a servicing they did for me when they were supposed to replace it. i payed for it to be replaced so it better be.

yeah it sometimes stalls after start up. giving it gas will sometimes stop it from stalling. the new tps prevents the car from dying after giving it gas so theres one problem down.
