Re: Temp Gauge Question.

There are both electric and mechanical. Electric are much easier to install and most people will have these for that reason. You don't need to plumb lines anywhere, jsut run a wire from the sender to the gauge.

Re: Temp Gauge Question.

Electrical. But every once in a while the sender will go bad. Happened to mine after 3 years.

Re: Temp Gauge Question.

Thanks for the info guyz, but the reason i ask is because i replaced the one wire sensor (or is it the sender?) from my jdm engine and my temp gauge still bounces up quickly sometimes even starts in the middle after my car has sat for 8 hours at work, must i replace the 2 wire sensor/sender next to the little one wire one? THANKS for the info

Re: Temp Gauge Question.

The 2 wire sender is the head temp sender, that tells your fans when to come on. If the fans work, leave it alone. You can just disconnect the 1 wire connector if you want.
