Visual Differences between JDM and USDM?

Anyone got a clue how to tell whether an SR20DE is JDM or USDM from looks or the casting numbers? Friend just got one, but we've got no clue what it came from.

if you just get the head and block, check the head. JDM head usually have lines on the side of the head where the timming chain is.
