O2 thread M18x1.5 ?? Pissed! I stripped my bung hole!!

HELP!

Is the O2 bung plug threaded M18x1.5??

I need to get a tap & die tomorrow to re-thread the bung and the new sensor.

Don't ask how, because I have no freaking clue. I stripped my O2 bung thread attempting to replace my O2 sensor. This is not the stock exhaust manifold. It is an OBX header, so I can not replace the O2 bung plug.

Side note: "Did he say bung-hole? uh huhuhuh uh huhuh. Bung hole! hehehe"

It's a header, not the factory manifold, so unfortunately, that is not an option.

Re: O2 thread M18x1.5 ?? Pissed! I stripped my bung hole!!

what i would do is the following, get a Stainless O2 Bung and remove the header, have the old bung gound off, or do it your self if you have an angle grinder or a dremel. have it welded at a local welding shop, they will know how to properly weld stainless with the right wire.

BTW a stainless bung is like 10 bux, most domestic performance shops have them or performance exhaust shops... last i checked eBay had em too.

Thanks. I thought of that already. Jegs is here in Ohio and I am in Columbus every day so I can get one there easily. And my buddy has a welder, so thats not the issue. The issue is downtime. I'd rather attempt to leave it on the car and fix it than take it off.
