Clogged Cat?

My flex pipe popped off a week ago when I was making a right at full throtle in first gear. I figured it was just a wierd thing that wouldn't happen again, but it happen again today. I was turning right onto a freeway so i had the pedal down hard in first and as I was turning right, it popped off...my father suggested that maybe my cat is clogging up, does this sound like my problem? I have those flex pipe brackets really tight on the pipe and she doesn't budge when I try to move her around., so i don't think its a looseness problem...
