yes, the fuel pump stays on when u turn the key. the filter is easiest from the top, and buy 4 quarts of oil... use the dipstick to see how much to fill!

sorry if i'm stealing this thread but i recently had an oil change about 2 months ago and i noticed that the oil was gettin pretty dark, it's not black or anything but i just thinkit's a little too soon for it to be doing that. i got a cheap oil change with a coupon it's 76brand 10 w-30 and i dont know the brand of the oil filter. my engine has over 155k+ on it. what oild do you suggest?
Holy crap, how the hell do you get a filter wench around that filter to get at it? I musta wrestled with that for 20min, taking a break now...any other tips? That plate under the filter that must be a guard or shield, that wont let me get the rubber strap wrench around it, plus if i did, theres no way in hell it would turn, not with that limited space!

What am i doing wrong here?
You should never have to use a wrench on an oil filter. If you do it's too tight. The best way to get it off, if its really stuck, Is to puncture the very end of the filter all the way through (top to bottom) w/ a screwdriver and use that to break it loose. Then, when you put it back on, just turn it till it is hand tight so you can get it off next time.
