floor bar on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tego ry=33591

"This Floor Bar is designed to stiffen the chassis for front to back Movements . While Strut Tower bars stiffen the chassis for left to right movement the Floor bar assists with stiffen the chassis for hard acceleration and Braking . Excellent for Drifting. Made of Steel and Powder Coated .

Available in these Finishes to Match with your Vehicle Interior : SILVER/TITANIUM/BLUE/RED. Please Specify the Color of your Preference at the end Of the Auction."

did anyone see this? It looks/sounds interesting, and the price is reasonable. I don't think it's a bolt-on piece, you'd probably have to drill/tap your own holes. Is this is something worth buying?

Re: floor bar on ebay

Yup, save yur money for a 900 HP electric muffin fan for your intake.

The description says it is supposed to help stiffen the chassis under hard accel or braking. A bar perpendicular to the forces cannot react those force unless those side brackets are "infinitely rigid" and also where they attach to the bar itself would need to be heavily gussetted to make it "infinitely rigid". This bar, anyway, is definitely NOT rigid enough to do anything. I vote crap!

Re: floor bar on ebay

I think Arospeed came out with that a while back. I laughed then when I saw it, I laugh now when I see it. It wont do anything but take up precious leg room
