AC compressor

Has anyone bought an aftermarket AC compressor and had success with it? My ac leaks right where that hose plugs in on the side of the compressor, don't know if its the compressor or the hose?

Re: AC compressor

Usually when you buy a new compressor it will come with the O-rings. If not, just buy some from any auto parts store.

Re: AC compressor

When you mean louder do you mean it makes a ticking noise? My compressor is loud too but once i'm moving the noise goes away. It could be a bearing, so i was told. It sounds real bad once you're inside the car. Let me know what your fix was.

Re: AC compressor

what kind of louder is it? Does it get louder the longer you drive, or just when its on? Could be a bad ac.

Re: AC compressor

It only gets loud when i stop. Once i'm in motion it goes away. I'm getting cold air but only if i'm goin over 30mph or so. In town sucks big time.

Sounds like you need to charge your system based on RPM's... someone else mentioned to me that you should hold RPM's up with one hand and charge the system with the other. You want the right pressure in the system for the RPM range you're driving in the most... obviously it'll still be cold in other RPM ranges still
