Do I need to replace Head Bolts?

Blew my head gasket. An associate of mine advised that I need to replace my head bolts. Do I need replace the Head Bolt? Please advise.

well, it depends, they can be re-used like once or so. the fsm indicates to check the length of the head bolt (since they are a stretch type) if that are shorter than 6.228" they are OK, if longer throw away and buy new ones. check from bottom of the head on the bolt to the end. use a 8" or 12" calipers (digital are easiest of course)
