JWT Cams

Hi guys,
Being from Australia we can't actually get these cams unless done through a direct order or unless one of you is willing to ship down here *hint hint nudge nudge*. And from the sounds of things in these forums it sounds like their the best/most popular?? correct me if i'm wrong.....

SO my question is, if i were to order cams from the USofA would i need to get the ecu as well or could i get someone to tune my car.. ie Unichip or something similar? as there would be noone here to fix/tune it if i bought it??

Also i was wondering which of the cams is better for overall driveability as they are all the same price on the JWT site i do not know and because of the above reason of them not being readily available here i do not know much about them.....

Also could i use any those cams with a turbo setup?

Thancks for the help in advance....
Yours truly... Noob....

Re: JWT Cams

Watch the banners on this site. When you see the one for Powertechimports.com Click it and give them a call. I'm sure Jamie would ship to you at your cost of course. Yes, you can get them tuned by any means you'd like. Dyno tuning is always the best way to go. As far as street any S series will work just dandy. The S series do not require valvetrain change where as the C series do. If turbo is in you future then go with S3 or S4. The S5 is new so no one has really tested it on a Turbo car. TIKO.

sweet info and advice... much appreciated. alwasy good to here straight answers.....

i am a noob but not entirely and info on these things are lacking a bit on our local sr20 forums due to them not being locally available.....

i am wondering though the average power at the wheels people get as the tomei ones available to us down here... people only claim around 80ishKw at the wheels.....

i just remember reading a topic on S5s and HS gen6 headers giving people on this forum 170whp... 126wkw i think (HP÷1.3405=KW correct me if i'm wrong?)

Re: JWT Cams

Well it really depends on whether you want to stay N/A or go with boost. I've read that S3's are better for boost. Also, they don't mess up your idle. If you want to go N/A go with S4's or S5's.

Re: JWT Cams

CHeck out this thread. The first post has a link to all the cam specs available for the SR20. Except for the S5's. To read up on the S5's, search around in the N/A section. Good luck!
